Welcome to Isle Madame
Quietly tucked away on the southwest corner of Cape Breton, Isle Madame is a place where history runs deep. Acadian, Irish, Scottish, and English families have called these shores home for generations, weaving a cultural heritage — and a joie de vivre — that is still felt in every community on the island.
The Acadiaville Cemetery Society is proud to care for the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in West Arichat, a resting place that overlooks the waters our families have fished, sailed, and loved for more than two centuries.
Our Vision
To make continual improvements to the cemetery grounds and to support community programming initiatives — preserving a dignified, peaceful resting place for the families of Isle Madame, today and for generations to come.
