Celebration took place 6pm October 24th 2013 with Father
Andrew Gilles and Bishop Brian Dunn officiating

On behalf of the Acadiaville Cemetery Society, I would like to extend to all a warm welcome to the Immaculate Conception Parish and Community of West Arichat on the occasion of the blessing our new Columbarium.
I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to contribute on such an important and worthwhile Community project as the Columbarium. It is a beautiful structure situated in close proximity to the Immaculate Conception Church with a breathtaking view of West Arichat Harbour and Chedabucto Bay. A peaceful place for quiet reflection and prayer; I can think of no better place suited for the internment of cremated remains and one's final resting place.
I would like to take this occasion to give special thanks to
Gloria Hill who first brought the vision of the Columbarium to
me several years ago during Parish Council, to Alvin Martell for
having renewed the vision and challenge a few years later; to
our major sponsors: the West Arichat & District Village Circle
Society and the
District 4 Municipality of Richmond; to Anna Samson and the
Parish Council, to the CWL for preparing the a light lunch
during reception, to the Acadiaville Community Centre, to my
colleagues and fellow board members of the Acadiaville Cemetery
Society and most importantly to the Parishioners of the Pastoral
unit and members of the greater Community who have given me
inspiration and support from conception to installation and
whose continued support is essential for the overall success of
the project.
